The Scottish street trials rider Danny MacAskill (35) was given free reign at a wind turbine factory to show you exactly how much of the world’s energy comes from sustainable sources, and to bust the myth that renewables are small scale.
MacAskill starts the video by saying: “It’s really cool to be part of this project”. And continues:
– It’s kind of given me an eye into renewable energy.
UN are currently hosting the Climate Change Conference, COP26, in Glashow, and the timing for this video series, hosted by YouTube itself, is probably not a coincidence. Danny says the following about COP26 and the current climate crisis:
– COP26 is one of the most important events that’s happening at the moment. Hopefully I can highlight to the audience, younger audience as well, that I think already know, that things need to change.
The video is also a fundraiser for a environmental nonprofit organisation called Re:Wild. Re:wild “protects and restores the wild to build a thriving Earth where all life flourishes”.
